Dr. Henry in Steelton

From Calobe Jackson, Jr., 28 February 2007

I have just confirmed that Dr. William H. Henry (Negro) lived at 107 Adams Street, Steelton in the1884 city directory. I first read about him in an 1883 newspaper that said he practiced medicine in Steelton Monday to Friday and in Harrisburg Saturday at Major Simpson's, on Short Street. Laverty's History of Medicine in Dauphin County shows that he was born in 1840 and practiced medicine in Harrisburg after 1860. No other information is available. On the ad below also notice Hill and Foster. J. W. Hill was active with Peter Blackwell...also Lincoln Cemetery.
