Charles Roebuck, 1911

From Calobe Jackson, Jr,, July 18, 2006

I just noticed that Charles Roebuck of Steelton read the Gettysburg Address at the Memorial Day Services at Lincoln Cemetery, on May 30, 1911. He was a junior at Steelton H. S. at the time.  W. D. Battle of York was the main speaker.  James Auter, Commander of GAR Post 512, was MC.

The parade this year featured more automobiles than carriages for the first time.
