"City Criminal Matters

"Alderman Smith yesterday issued warrants for John Gance and William Johnson, both colored, who were later arrested and placed in the lockup. They stand charged with committing as assault upon the person of John Henry, also colored, in this city on the night of December 26th, and robbing him of a considerable sum of money. They were to be given a hearing this afternoon, and the prospect seemed good for both the prisoners taking an excursion to Hollidaysburg."
